This Privacy Policy explains how Maniac, Inc. ("Maniac", "we", "us") handles information in connection with commitbench (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with GitHub we receive basic profile details such as your GitHub username, account id, and email address, and an access token used to list and clone repositories you authorize.

Repository content. To run a benchmark we clone and process the repository you submit, including its commit history, file contents, and diffs. We store the benchmark tasks and results produced from a run. We do not publish a run's contents unless you mark it public.

Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. We keep records of purchases, credit balances, and ledger entries needed to operate billing.

Usage and device data. We collect basic analytics such as pages viewed and general usage, including through our hosting and analytics providers, to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and operate the Service, run and score benchmarks, process payments, maintain security and prevent abuse, communicate with you about your account, and improve the Service. We display public runs, leaderboards, and comparison pages using data from runs that have been made public.

3. Service providers

We share information with providers who help us run the Service, including GitHub (authentication and repository access), cloud compute providers that execute runs, model and agent providers that generate and judge candidates, Stripe (payments), and our hosting and analytics providers. They process data on our behalf or under their own terms. When a run is executed, repository content is sent to the compute and model providers needed to complete it.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will seek to ensure it remains protected.

5. Data retention

We keep account, run, and billing records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated private run data, subject to records we must retain.

6. Your choices and rights

You can control which repositories you submit and whether a run is public. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address below. You can revoke the Service's GitHub access from your GitHub account settings at any time.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including running benchmark execution in isolated containers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International users

We operate in the United States and may process information there. If you use the Service from another region, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
